![]() Gross tonnage means the gross tonnage calculated in accordance with the tonnage measurement regulations contained in Annex I to the International Convention on Tonnage Measurement of Ships, 1969 or any successor Convention. Sales Tax means a tax imposed with respect to the transfer for a consideration of ownership, possession, or custody of tangible personal property or the rendering of services measured by the price of the tangible personal property transferred or services rendered and which is required by state or local law to be separately stated from the sales price by the seller, or which is customarily separately stated from the sales price, but does not include a tax imposed exclusively on the sale of a specifically identified commodity or article or class of commodities or articles. Sales Taxes means all goods and services, business transfer, multi-stage sales, sales, use, consumption, value-added or other similar taxes imposed by any federal, provincial or municipal government upon Landlord or Tenant in respect of this Lease, or the payments made by Tenant hereunder or the goods and services provided by Landlord hereunder including, without limitation, the rental of the Premises and the provision of administrative services to Tenant hereunder. ![]() VAT means value added tax in accordance with the provisions of the Value Added Tax Act 1994. At the Agency’s discretion, claims may be submitted on an original invoice from the Contractor or may be submitted on a claim form acceptable to the Agency, such as a General Accounting Expenditure (GAX) form. ![]() Invoice means a Contractor’s claim for payment. Tax Invoice means the document as required by Section 20 of the VAT Act, as may be amended from time to time
